From the 21st to the 23rd May 2019 Clerkenwell will play host to one of the largest and most popular celebrations of design in the UK: Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW). Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it one of the most important design hubs in the world. Here at Milliken, we have been a showroom partner since the event’s inception in 2009 and are taking part again in the event’s tenth year.

Our Theme
Artwork

Since well-being is at the core of our design ethos, our events during Clerkenwell Design Week will be focusing on the pursuit of happiness. Alongside some exciting new product launches, we’ll be running a series of talks and workshops offering a bright, energetic, colourful and happy twist on the perspective of well-being.

Continuing our theme of happiness, we’re working with London based illustrator and designer Erin Aniker to create our CDW identity, in order to creatively communicate our vision of a happy workplace. During the week there will also be Well-being Dens for visitors to explore, offering a virtual reality meditation experience, a stress-busting massage station and refreshments at our stunning Berry Street showroom.

Product Launches

We’ll also be dedicating some time to the launch of our latest carpet plank and tile collections known as ‘Fractals’ and ‘Poise’ - both of which use our proprietary Millitron patterning technology to combine soft organic patterning, with subtle washes of beautiful colour in a complex textural and luxurious construction. Both collections come with Comfort Plus cushion backing in order to provide the ultimate underfoot comfort experience, as well as offering positive acoustic benefits. Our ‘Comfortable Concrete 2.0’ and extensions of our ‘Clerkenwell’ and ‘Colour Compositions’ carpet tile collections will also be showcased.
