'Fired by Waste' Workshop with Sarah Bryan
Milliken’s Sustainability Soundbites day will conclude with the 'Fired by Waste' workshop, running from 18:30 to 21:00. This engaging session, led by Sarah Bryan, offers participants a unique opportunity to delve into the intersection of sustainability, material experimentation, and ceramic artistry. Attendees will explore how innovative approaches to waste can inspire creative processes and contribute to more sustainable practices within the arts and design sectors.

Transforming Waste into Creative Potential
This workshop takes an innovative approach by transforming waste materials sourced from both the food and construction industries into inspiration for ceramic artistry. By integrating discarded materials into the creative process, the project highlights how waste can serve as a valuable resource, sparking new avenues for artistic expression.
Each ceramic artwork produced through this initiative is meticulously coded and documented, ensuring a transparent connection between the art and its origins. Pieces are thoughtfully titled after the businesses that have contributed their waste, recognising and celebrating the spirit of collaboration. This practice not only champions circular creativity but also emphasises the power of collective effort in fostering sustainable and meaningful design.
Drinks & snacks will be provided throughout the evening. Book your place here: www.ticketsource.co.uk/milliken-floor-covering/t-ejkveko
